Corey Day
2023 Board Chair
Corey is a litigator with Stoel Rives LLP in Sacramento, where he represents private clients in business disputes and alcohol beverage matters in federal and state court. Corey joined the Davis Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee Board in 2019 and served as its vice chair before being named the 2023 board chair. He received the Chamber of Commerce Director of the Year Award in 2021.
Corey has always believed in giving back to the community. As well as his service to the Chamber, Corey has supported “Healthy Together Davis,” helped to relaunch “Make Davis Sparkle” – an annual cleanup event – and advised food-related programs such as Alchemist Kitchen, a Sacramento program that provides under-resourced neighborhoods and entrepreneurs with business training programs. Corey also provides pro bono legal advice to public radio station CapRadio, which is opening a downtown Sacramento music venue where Day hopes alcohol will eventually be allowed to be sold – a potential stimulus for ticket sales and vendor business. Corey received his law and undergraduate degrees from UC Davis and lives in Woodland with his wife Ashleigh and their pets. For all of his sense of purpose and civic mindedness, Corey, who is described as a “social butterfly” and “the most upbeat, positive person in the office,” is not above having some fun for a good cause – he once took a pie in the face in support of fund raising for the Chamber. |
