Miriam Dougherty
2024 Board Chair
Miriam Dougherty serves as Board Chair the Davis Chamber of Commerce, and as Committee Chair for the chamber’s School Business Program.
A certified financial educator and credit union financial counselor by trade, she has over a decade of experience in the finance sector. In her current role as a financial wellness educator within SAFE Credit Union’s community relations team, Miriam provides services to some of Sacramento’s largest employers, as well as nonprofits and local high schools. The proud daughter of a first-generation Texas native and an immigrant from Michoacán, Mexico, Miriam has a passion for giving back to the community. She regularly serves the chamber by participating in programs such as Make Davis Sparkle, the Davis Joint Unified School District’s New Teacher Orientation, and the Davis Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. Miriam holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism from Fresno State University and is a strong advocate for financial wellness who strives to equip people with a toolbox of financial resources. When she is not spending time engrossed in a book or enjoying all things Disney, Miriam loves to spend most of her time with her husband and two young children. |
